Saturation Hat
Low Vision Accessibility: The low vision accessible pattern uses 24 point sans serif font (Verdana) in all black text without italics. All of the directions are fully written out. The pattern also meets the Accessible Patterns Group Low Vision Format guidelines for page formatting and large print. The low vision accessible version is named “saturation hat LVA”.
The Lower Mainland air is saturated with moisture for most of the year. Moss grows freely on roof shingles and tree trunks, while puddles dot forest trails and sidewalks. The hat’s texture resembles roof shingles, and the contrast colour brim mimics moss growing on shingles.
Saturation is sized between a toque and a slouch. Its squishable texture holds warm air close to your head. A small amount of fingering weight contrast yarn left over from a well-loved project would make a memorable Saturation.
