The pattern for the Saturday Morning Baby Blanket is clearly written, and easy to knit.

Although the blanket has the appearance of a patchwork, it is actually knit in 3 panels, which are then seamed along their side edges.
Each panel is constructed by knitting 4 attached and identical squares - just changing colors for the patchwork appearance.

You could easily make the blanket larger by adding panels and/or squares.
The pattern includes information regarding additional yarn requirements for adapting the size.

As written, blanket measures 24” wide x 30” long (after blocking), and requires a total of 600 yds chunky weight yarn (300 yds color A, 200 yds color B, and 100 yds color C) and size 10 needles (either straight or circular needles can be used, since blanket panels are knit flat), locking ring markers and tapestry needle.

Sample was knit using a total of 6 skeins of Ella Rae Cozy Soft Chunky yarn as follows:
3 skeins of color 325 (Fairy Forest), 2 skeins of color 215 (Fairway Mist), and 1 skein of color 218 (Coy Pink).

Skills required include casting on, knitting, purling, binding off, and basic mattress stitch seaming.

Thanks to my Saturday morning knitting class, who inspired and contributed to the beautiful design of this blanket.

Enjoy knitting, and please post photos of your finished blanket!
