The Grief Beast arrives when we have lost a loved one. Any of the Beast’s many characters can arrive at any moment in time. Saudade is the visual representation of the love that remains. The melancholic longing for their story to continue.

Written in English - US terminology- with easy to follow instructions and templates for eyelids and wings.

Saudade is a detailed character. They require intermediate crochet skills, a basic understanding of needle-felting and a significant measure of patience.

Included in the document is an illustrated coloring page to keep your little one busy while you create. Your loved ones or customers could use the coloring page to show you the colors that they prefer for their new character, or use them as a personalized greeting card with your handmade gift.

Skill level: Intermediate.

Finished size is approximately 18-20cm/ 7-8 inches.

Crochet Stitches used: sc, inc, dec, slst, invisible short rows (instructions included).

Some sewing skills required.
Sewing stitches used: Whip stitch and ladder stitch.
