The colors of the yarn made me think of the savanna. That’s the simple reason for the name.

The scarf is worked in a fingering weight yarn, using an easy lace and slip stitch cables pattern. The cables can be done with or without a cable needle, both ways are explained. The pattern is written and charted.

Difficulty level: intermediate (cables, lace)

Yarn: Alize Diva (100% microfiber, 350m/100g; 383yds/3.53oz), 2 balls. Sample in a length of 160cm (64in) used 507m (555yds).

Needles: 3.5mm/US 4

Notions: yarn needle, cable needle (optional)

Gauge: 20 stitches/38 rows in moss stitch = 10cm/4in.

Die Farben des Garns ließen mich an die Savanne denken. Das ist der einfache Grund für den Namen.

Der Schal wird in einem dünnen Garn gestrickt – statt dem Originalgarn kann man auch Sockenwolle verwenden. Das Muster ist ein einfaches Lochmuster kombiniert mit Hebemaschenzöpfen. Diese Zöpfe kann man entweder mit oder auch ohne Zopfnadel stricken, beides wird erklärt. Die Anleitung ist ausgeschrieben und auch in einer Strickschrift dargestellt.
