This is a pattern for a short headband/strap designed to relieve the pressure/irritation caused by medical masks and facial coverings. There are 2 versions of the strap included in the download - 1 knit vertically, and 1 knit horizontally.

It’s placed at the back of the head at or just below ear level, and the elastics on either side of the mask are secured to the buttons on the headband.

The length and width can be easily adjusted by the number of stitches cast on and the number of rows knit.
