Saving My Places
This is a lovely bookmark with the basic filet crochet style. Some rows have open squares while the central portion is dotted with picots. The border could be completed in a contrasting color to change it up a bit.
If a shorter or taller bookmark is desired, the number of rows may be adjusted (rows 6-8 are the pattern repeat).
A front loop dc stitch adds just a bit more textural interest to the surface. Either side is equally beautiful. AND there is no up or down/top or bottom, only your preference.
A simple bow added to the open filet rows could also provide a touch of color and charm.
The sample is made using crochet thread, but easily this could be made with a lacy yarn as well with appropriate hook size.
Enjoy….
