Saving Seeds. A seed stitch infinity scarf or cowl, knit on the bias, and endlessly variable. This free pattern is less detailed than many of my other patterns. The upside of this is that you can make any size you’d like… and it’s free! Add your choice of yarn and needles, and the rest is an easy and fast adventure. Great for gifts!

Yarn: your choice! shown in Malabrigo Merino Worsted in color “Cuarenta”, the scarf shown took less than one skein. I’ve also made this with very bulky yarns and large needles, and the effect is truly stunning.
Gauge: your choice!
Needles: Straight or circular needles in a size suitable for the yarn you’re using. If the scarf is narrow enough, you might be able to use two double pointed needles.
Notions: A tapestry needle to graft the ends together. You’ll need both a ruler and a tape measure to select your scarf size.
Size: your choice! You can make a cowl that will hang snugly to your neck, a loose cowl, or an infinity scarf long enough to hang down to your waist OR to wrap around your neck two or three times.
Skills: Measuring and selecting width based on gauge, Knit, Purl, M1 increase, K2tog & p2tog decreases, provisional cast on, grafting/kitchener stitch.

Update 5/16/17 Pattern was formerly called “Biased & Seedy Scarf” I thought this was quite cute, but I’m note sure anyone else did! Pattern is still much less detailed than my for-sale patterns, but I hope you’ll enjoy it anyway!
