The lace brim is knitted first, then stitches for the garter stitch crown are picked up from the straight edge.

The hats are very stretchy and will fit a wide variety of heads! They can be worn high on the head, or pulled down over the ears for warmth.

The circumference of the three sizes is 15 (18, 21)“ and they will stretch a further two or three inches.

The pattern will work with any aran yarn, but you must check your tension first.
