Sawmill shrug
by Ann dewey
This cosy shrug is a super easy quick knit, made from 12 ply mohair, or mohair wool mix. It is very wearable, and was inspired by a passerby at the sawmill cafe in Leigh N.Z.
In essence it is a simple tube knitted in the round, that is then sewn to form a loose wrap able shrug. Anyone who can knit and purl can make it.
The sawmill shrug shown is made from two skeins of touch yarns brushed solid. If you use another mohair I would suggest having at least 200 grams on hand.
The gauge for this garment is deliberately loose so that it feels light yet warm to wear.
Instructions are given for one size, but it is very easy to make smaller, or larger (directions given in the PDF)
