This easy prayer shawl crochet pattern uses simple stitch combinations. This top-down triangle shawl works up quickly with super bulky yarn. This pattern is designed to meet the donation requirements of Project Legacy Shawls, a Ravelry group that distributes handmade comfort items to people in a hospital palliative care unit. This pattern is featured in the FaveCrafts National Craft Month celebration.

Lion Brand Re-Spun Thick & Quick yarn (100% acrylic, 5 oz/142 g, 251 yd/230 m) – 3 skeins in 110AT Night Sky, or approximately 510 yd (466.5 m) in any super bulky weight yarn.

US Size M/9 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarn needle.

Stitch marker.

9 dc = 4” (10 cm). Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
