This lovely hat is constructed in two parts. The cabled brim is knit in a strip beginning with a provisional cast on. Stitches are then picked up along one edge and the crown of the hat is worked in Stockinette Stitch. The provisional cast on is removed and the brim is connected with a three needle bind off. The crown is seamed using a mattress stitch.
