Scalloped Edge Trapeze Tunic Tank Top
Note that the first part of Rd 8 for both the hexagonal and pentagonal motifs should read: Ch4, skip 1 sc, sc in next sc; sc in next ch6 space; ch6; sc in next ch6 space;*
Also at the very end of the pattern when you are working on the perimeter edging, you create a round of ch6 loops in Rd 1 and then work 6sc into each ch6 loop.

An original pattern design by contemporary artist Kristen Stein. This art-deco inspired tunic tank top with scalloped edge is crocheted using lace motifs. The trapeze fit is flirty and fun while being extremely loose and comfortable. The pattern is created as a ‘one-size-fits most’ pattern. Suggestions are provided if you’d like to make a more form-fitting garment. This tank is perfect as a layering piece for summer or spring. It’s easy to wear over a camisole, or as a bathing suit coverup. The pattern guides you through the creation process with detailed instruction and several pictures to help you create this beautiful art-deco inspired piece.
Finished Dimensions:
Laid flat, the garment measures approximately 12” wide at the neck opening, 10” wide at the arm opening, 19” wide from underarm to underarm, approximately 26” wide at the hem. Total length is about 29 inches from top of neck to tip of scalloped border. It is a “one-size-fits-most” pattern. For a small or extra-small size, use a 3.5 or 4.0 mm hook. The garment has considerable give as it is an open crochet, but if you want to adjust this for a fuller figure, you can add one extra round to the Motif Pattern before proceeding to the final round. Or, change the hook size to a 5mm hook to make larger motifs.
