Scandi Birds is worked in the normal overlay mosaic row by row technique.

Two PDFs are available - one using US terms and one using UK terms.

The PDF has 8 easy-to-read charts and corresponding written instructions.

You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern, just remember a tighter tension is better for mosaic crochet.

If using Stylecraft Special DK, you will need approximately 14 skeins for the main body of the blanket (including a simple 3-row border)

• 6 skeins for Colour A (322 yards per skein) = a total of 1932 yards (600g)
• 5 skeins for Colour B (322 yards per skein) = a total of 1610 yards (500g)
• 3 skeins for a simple 3-row double border (322 yards per skein) = a total of 966 yards (300g)

The afghan size with the border will be approx. 110cm wide x 137cm long.
