This pattern is designed for an aran/heavy worsted weight wool (the coarser and scratchier the better!). The following yarns are all ideal:

The finished tree will be around 8 ½ inches tall, is crocheted in one piece (apart from the base), needs no sewing and should be stiff enough to stand on its own but if not, stuffing can be used.

Ideal for intermediate crocheters - uses BLO/FLO stitches (back loop and front loop only).

One 100g ball of Aran yarn (or worsted) in cream.
47 dark red beads with an approximate diameter of ¼ inch (6mm) and 5/64 inch (2mm) hole.
Needle for threading beads and sewing in ends.
