These little Gonks are inspired by Scandinavian Folklore and are so cute! They are a great way to use up oddments of yarn and Prosecco or Champagne corks and will knit up with any dk yarn. I used King Cole Glitz as the contrasting yarn to give some festive sparkle.

The gonks are knitted up flat using 3.25mm knitting needles and the body, beard and hats are seamed up once completed. They are designed to fit over standard Prosecco or Champagne Corks which enable them to stand well without any support.

They can be used to create a table decoration, Christmas decorations by sewing on a string, or cute little gifts.
