scandi hooded scarf
Channel cosy-cool Copenhagen style with this chunky hooded scarf! Ideal for absolute beginners this is my simplest pattern to date. Made using basic garter stitch, chunky yarn & needles, you’ll knit this up in no time! I’ve included lots of helpful links to walk you through anything you don’t already know. This pattern is ONE SIZE, fits most adults.
Suggested Materials:
3 balls of Wool And The Gang ‘Alpachino Merino’ (or similar 100g/100m chunky yarn)
8mm/US11 knitting needles
An embroidery/tapestry needles for the loose ends
2 stitch markers (safety pins or huggie earrings work well too!)
A measuring tape
The hooded scarf is made by first knitting a simple rectangle, then stitches are picked up at the neck to form the hood. Techniques include garter stitch, picking up stitches, increasing (M1) - all of which have video tutorial links included in the pattern.
