My Scandinavian dolls are inspired by colorful, Nordic knitwear, Scandinavian design and hand painted Dala Horses. When I make handmade toys for my friends and family I love thinking about the people in the past who have done the same.

While the pattern is titled Christmas Dolls, I want to personally acknowledge and celebrate all who observe the December holidays, including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Epiphany, as well as Christmas!

Deutsche Übersetzung von Kleinesundfeines. Vielen Dank! Please note the German pattern only shows the first pattern addition that doesn’t have the boys boots and pants.

Supplies needed: 12mm wooden bead for head, pipe cleaner, set of dpns and one free evening.

Praise for Scandinavian Christmas Dolls!

Starting with Dala woman doll. Done in one evening! SO cute. (Elemenopeo)

For the Latvian Braid and the embroidery there are good video links available. Both are not difficult to make. (Saphiera)

Such a fun project!! (MinniStitcher)

Love it!! (thrsedge)

The pattern is written very well with a lot of detailed step-by-step descriptions, helpful pictures and videos. I plan to make peg dolls with other of Tasha’s patterns. (Omissi)
