You will need almost all of the yarn from each color.

Scrap yarn, about 10 – 20 yards – scrap yarn 1

Scrap crochet thread or similar slippery yarn that will not damage your working yarn in a different color from both your working yarns and other scrap yarn – scrap yarn 2
