Some people were struggling a bit with the pattern at the beginning of the KAL, but it has been updated since then and is now easy to understand! If you have got the pattern from Craftsy when you bought a kit make sure you have the updated version! You can download it from your Craftsy library.

Scania (Skåne) is the southernmost part of Sweden. This is where my home is and I love the shifting nature – the white beaches by the sea, the open landscape with fields and farms and the vast beech woods – equally beautiful all year round.
These two shawls are my tribute to Scania. The blue/sand version reminds me of the beaches in summer and the black/white version of the woods in winter.

The shawl is knitted in five colors (darkest, darker, mid, lighter and lightest) of fingering weight yarn, the yarn is held double throughout the shawl in different color combinations.
The top three photos shows the shawl knitted in Cloudborn Superwash Sock Twist, but you can also pick five colors from your stash. Mix and match different brands, solid colors and variegated.

Color A (darkest) 50 grams
Color B (darker) 100 grams
Color C (mid) 100 grams
Color D (lighter) 50 grams
Color E (lightest) 50 grams

The bigger needles (6mm/US 10), the striping and the different elements, including a mock cable, makes it a fun and fast knit. I hope you will enjoy knitting and wearing the Scania Shawl!

Why not use lace yarn held double to create a light, fingering weight version? I used a little more than 100 grams of scrap yarns in five different colors and needles 5 mm. I also added about twenty rows before turning the corner, otherwise I followed the pattern.
