Does Tunisian crochet make the world go round? Maybe not, but it’s pretty important to my crafting life.

This teaching pattern for a circular sampler scarf introduces Tunisian techniques and stitches sequentially, beginning with stitches relying on hook placement, continuing with stitches featuring different ways to manipulate the yarn around the hook, and culminating in patterns using a combination of stitches.

Hate one or more of the 15 stitch blocks used? Just substitute it with another in the pattern – or use another stitch pattern from one of the books I recommend. It’s your learning experience and your scarf; to paraphrase Elizabeth Zimmermann, “You’re the boss of your crochet!”

If you would like detailed photos of the individual blocks, please download the pdf entitled “Scarf Go Round Class Pictures.”
