A dear friend gave me some beautiful wool for my birthday. She said: “I can’t wait to see what you’ll make out of it. I hope to see it in your hands or in your store one day.” That was a challenge for me. I usually know what I want to knit before I buy wool….
The colour of the wool reminded me of slate and a pale blue sky, like you sometimes see in the mountains. The sky reflected in a small lake with slate stones. The water touched by the wind. This thought inspired me to create the “Reflections” pattern for this scarf. And I don’t want it to be just a scarf. Matching accessories will soon be available in my store. Look forward to it!
When I knit a scarf, it’s always important to me that both sides of the scarf look beautiful. That is why I have chosen to knit this scarf using the double knitting technique. Please don’t be put off by the double knitting technique. Basically, anyone who can knit left and right can easily learn the double knitting technique. If you are not yet familiar with the technique, you can find free instructions for learning the technique here
https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-...

Knowledge required:

  • Stitch cast-on
  • Cast off
  • Knitting knit and purl stitches
  • A little practice in double face knitting (I recommend my free guide to learning double knitting here) If you have these skills, you can easily knit this scarf. The stitch sequence is quickly memorized and is therefore easy to knit.

What you get:
You will receive 6 pages of instructions. The instructions contain a clear counting pattern and a row-by-row description. The instructions also include instructions for lengthening/shortening and narrowing/widening the scarf.

Level of difficulty:
Easy

Materials Needed:
• Adriafil Genziana, 100% Merino (LL approx. 185m / 50g): 200g (= 4 balls) in medium melange grey (colour 083) and 200g (= 4 balls) in light blue (colour 09). My total consumption for a scarf with a width of 27 cm and a length of 153 cm was 304g. Depending on your personal knitting style, consumption may vary slightly. This scarf can of course also be knitted with a different wool with a similar yardage. Make sure that the selected wool does not scratch the neck. The same amount of wool is needed for both colours.
