Knitting pattern for a cowl neck, sleeveless lace top.
Easy wear with trousers, skirts, jeans, or under a jacket for more formal occasions. It can also layer over a dress or favourite shirt or top.
It is very stretchy due to the lace construction and suitable for Australian sizes 12 to 16 (of course will drape differently on various shapes).
Basic directions are included to vary for larger or smaller sizes.
This top is created for sport weight yarn (550-600 metres), and requires 4mm and 4.5mm circular needles. ChiaoGoo red lace interchangable needles make this an easier project as what you need is at your fingertips.
The needles make for ease with trying on as you knit, and with extra cables and end stoppers will hold your stitches for you as you knit on another section of the garment.
The yarn I used for this top is bamboo cotton sport weight, and as such is great for a summer garment. It can be worn under jackets or cardigans for a classy look during in between seasons.
You could use a different sport weight yarn for different warmth and look, just note the gauge. The stitch is fairly giving.
