This is a pattern converted from Classic Mittens Pattern #615, published on Free Vintage Knitting from Gloves and Mittens, Volume 29, Bernhard Ulmann Company. The colorwork references the macro data refinement task in Severance. For when the numbers are scary.

These mittens are knitted from the cuff up, in the round (with the exception of the thumb, which is knit flat). The colorwork is stranded throughout, but it doesn’t follow guidelines to keep the floats short. I have some suggestions about how to tackle that, but also bear in mind that this isn’t a great pattern to learn colorwork with.

The other finishing work is weaving in ends and sewing a small bit of seam down the thumb. The pictures show the middle of this seam being left open, so you can pop your thumb out to use your phone, but you can make that gap any size or close up the whole seam. Instructions are included.
