Scáthach
CAROL MELDRUM’S latest shawl design has a triangular shape, with a wide, flat end that gradually narrows to a point. Brioche stitch gives a squishy, cosy fabric, and the shawl is knitted in bands of two-colour brioche stripes, using a sequence of four pairs of contrasting shades. Carol has knitted her shawl in Rowan’s iconic Felted Tweed yarn, which is wonderfully soft and comes in a wide choice of bright colours and muted shades.
