Scatter, an assigned pooling bias triangle shawl, is inspired by scattered wildflower seeds in a garden. It features double-row stripes paired with a flower-like variation of the spool stitch.

Assigned pooling occurs when a change in stitch and texture is assigned to changes in color within a skein of variegated yarn.  Stockinette Stitch is assigned to the main color to create a striped backdrop for the spool stitch assigned to the accent color.

Two different fingering weight bases are used; the interplay of the matte BFL and glossy Silky Solo bases create a beautiful textural contrast.

Choose similar colors for subtle stripes like the ones in the original, or pick colors with high color and value contrast for bold stripes.
