Scattered Kisses Socks
Promises, wishes, hopes and devotions,
All sealed with kisses in wordless emotion.
Kisses on photos of those gone, not forgotten,
Kisses of care when your day has been rotten.
Kisses from raindrops and the spray from sea breeze,
Kisses from petals falling from trees.
Magic kisses for scraped knees and bumped heads,
Kisses for pets curled up in their beds.
Kisses of comfort from soft cosy quilts,
Kisses to honour the love that you’ve built.
Kisses goodbye that come far too soon,
Kisses scattered, showered, sprinkled and strewn.
About the Socks
These socks are scattered in kisses just like our poem. The pattern contains three sizes, small, medium, and large. These socks are knit top down with an eye of partridge heel flap and a gusset construction. There’s enough detail in the pattern to keep the knitting interesting, but nothing that should be too tricky for a new sock knitter to master. This timeless design would look beautiful in almost any yarn, a tonal or lightly speckled yarn will really show off the kisses.
