This pattern is written for a scarf measuring 67”/170cm x 14”/36cm to fit a person of about 5’ 4”. The pattern can be easily adjusted to the width and length desired, as a general rule make the scarf approximately the same height as the person, when measured out laying flat on the floor, excluding the tassels.
The pattern begins with 5 triangular shapes, make more or less of these for a wider or narrower scarf.

The pattern is easier to make if you use 2 separate balls (skeins) of the main colour, if you are only using 1 ball reach into the middle of the ball of yarn and pull out a hand full of yarn (about half the ball) and use this as your second ball. I have used the intarsia technique of changing yarn mid row, to do this; drop the working yarn, pass the new coloured yarn under the dropped yarn, continue working with the new coloured yarn. The pattern includes a link to a good video of this method.

I used 3.88 oz (110g) for the outer = colour 337yrds/308m.
4.1 oz (117g) for the inner colour = 327yrds/299m, for the size stated above.
