’Do ewe have wool?’ is a tribute to the source of my all-time favorite type of yarn: sheep!

Made with just 3 balls of Léttlopi yarn, it’s a fun little in-between project. And felting in the washing machine adds stability without the need for a lining.

Make sure your knitting matches the gauge. Although the project bag doesn’t need to be a specific size, you have to match the gauge in order for the 3 balls of yarn to suffice for completing the project.

You will need 2 balls of Léttlopi in the background color and 1 ball in the pattern color. Make sure there is a large contrast between the two colors, to prevent the pattern color from fading into the background during felting.

If you want to use a different brand of wool, make sure that it’s 100% wool and that it was not superwash treated. Or it will not felt during washing.

’Schaapje Schaapje’ is een ode aan de bron van mijn favoriete materiaal om mee te breien: het schaap!

Gebreid met slechts 3 bollen Léttlopi garen, is het een leuk tussendoor project. Door te vervilten in de wasmachine, wordt het tasje steviger zonder dat je een voering nodig hebt.

Let op de steekverhouding. Ook al hoeft de projecttas zelf geen bepaalde maat te hebben, moet je aan de steekverhouding voldoen om genoeg te hebben aan de 3 bollen garen.

Je hebt 2 bollen Léttlopi nodig in de achtergrondkleur en 1 bol in de patroonkleur. Zorg dat er een groot verschil is in het contrast tussen de kleuren om te voorkomen dat de patroonkleur in de achtergrond verdwijnt tijdens het vilten.

Als je een ander merk wol wilt gebruiken, let er dan op dat het 100% wol is en dat het géén superwash behandeling heeft ondergaan. Anders zal het namelijk niet vervilten tijdens het wassen.
