“Schack” was designed by Kerstin Olsson for Bohus Stickning in 1965 and recreated in 2022 by Pernille Silfverberg .

The knitting kit for Schack Röd is based on original patterns and models from museum collections. The pattern is recreated only as a pullover with a patterned collar and as hat so far in white or red.

The garment is knitted in a two-strand lambswool yarn from Henrichsen Uldspinderi in Denmark. The lambswool yarn consists of merino wool from New Zealand and a small proportion from Gotland fur sheep, guaranteed mulesing-free.

Both the collar and the bottom edge of the sweater are knitted in pattern. The pattern yarns are hand-dyed by Pernille Silfverberg. The bottom color is dyed at the spinning mill in Denmark for a more even color.

The knitting kit for the Schack pullover with patterned collar contains enough yarn for either pullover or cardigan for sizes up to XL. The garment is worked from the bottom up with a sewn in sleeve.
