Scharetta Bow Scarf
This scarf design was dreamed up while I was browsing Ravelry looking for gift ideas to make something for a dear co-worker’s birthday (So named after her). She loves the work I do and wearing handmade items. I pieced together several construction elements I saw in pictures and made this delicate scarf.
This project takes my affinity for crochet chains to a new level. It’s something an intermediate crocheter can do to work on slip stitches and construction work.
The size I made went from around the neck down to the chest. It’s long enough to twist around your neck, of your can make it shorter by doing the “French Knot”. After giving it to my friend, I discovered multiple ways you can wear this fun accessory.
Gauge really doesn’t matter for this pattern -it’s forgiving. But for those that need some kind of parameter, it should be about 3.5-4 inches wide. I used less than half a skein of Red Heart Soft. You can certainly have fun going up or down in yarn weights and still have a great effect.
