This is the first garment pattern in the book. It is simple — excellent for tv knitting or learning intarsia.

This is a ruana started at lower back and worked in one piece in intarsia. It is excellent for using color-shifting yarns to good effect. Sadly, the yarn used for the model is long discontinued.

Size is easily scaled up or down, just make the diamonds smaller or larger. Adjust yarn amounts accordingly.

Also good for ad finitum knitting, as you can weigh yarn per module to assure a win at yarn chicken.

Recommend 5 stitch markers (4 + 1 to mark center) plus 1 removable marker to indicate right side of garter stitch.

Model is worked in 10 skeins of the same rainbow colorway. This pattern lends itself to color play. 10 skeins of 5 each in two complementary colorways would be lovely. Pattern includes coloring pages so you can make your own designs.

This is an easy pattern for learning intarsia.

As the yarn is discontinued, the designer will try to keep an eye out for possible substitutes. Have not tried Knitting Fever Indulgence Brushed Merino, but looks like it might work.
