FINISHED SIZE 64″ wide and 19″ tall.
YARN Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% superwash Merino wool; 420 yd): well water (blue; A) and birch gray (B), 1 skein each.
NEEDLES Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 32″ circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
NOTIONS Markers; tapestry needle.
GAUGE 22 sts and 42 rows = 4″ in garter st patt on smaller needles.
NOTES This shawl body is worked back and forth in rows from the lower left edge to the upper right corner. The border is then picked up and knit. A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
