Schitt's Creek Lice Hat Cabled
Based on Season3, Episode 11 in the Canadian sitcom ‘Schitt’s Creek’ called ‘Stop Saying Lice’, this popular antler/staghorn cable has been re-constructed to mimic precisely what David wore on the show over his shower cap.
Hilarious! Make it in grey for authenticity.
Hat works up very densely if made in worsted, probably better to choose a DK weight at gauge given.
Complete instructions include a chart. Pattern was independently tested in each size by at least 2-3 other knitters, so you can knit with confidence.
RND 12 needed some clarification in the Written:
Rnd 12: [p1, k4 for size S (k4 for size M, k1k2togk2 for size L), p1, ssk, C2/2R, k4, C2/2L, k2tog] rep; 100 sts all sizes
Final Decrease Rounds: I suggest maybe making a couple of even rounds between if you find it too sharp a decrease. The final round itself can be worked as either k2tog around, or (ssk, k2tog) around.
Cabling Without a Cable Needle: Follow these instructions subbing 2 sts for 3 sts each time. It will change your life!
