A Schmoo is a rare sort of elephant. This is a softie.
You can use any yarn and any needle you like, as long as you don’t get too many holes - you don’t want the stuffing to show through. Lighter, solid shades work best with this pattern.
The pattern is written out, with accompanying photos for each step. No uncommon or complicated stitches are used.

You will need the following supplies:
Tapestry needle

4 Locking stitch markers

Stuffing and a dowel to stuff the arms/legs/trunk

Stitch markers - 4 locking stitch markers

Safety eyes - I have used:

• 9mm safety eyes with laceweight yarn
• 12-15mm safety eyes with fingering weight yarn
• 15mm safety eyes (and larger) with worsted weight yarn
• 20mm safety eyes with bulky weight yarn
