Animal loveys or security blankets are doubly functional, as a comforting blanket and plaything. This cat works up quickly and, owing to the slip stitch fabric, has an interesting texture, is soft and pliable. The bottom edge features a crocheted-on cord, easy to grasp even for tiny fingers.

The cat is worked in slip stitch crochet.
