There are times you do not need a full mitten, or want to keep your fingers and thumbs free. This pattern is quick to make, and has interesting texture due to the extended single crochets. The two color pattern allows you to work this up in school colors, or the colors of your favorite sports team. If you prefer, omit the color changes and work them entirely in your favorite color.
