Original instructions call for size 80 tatting/crochet thread and “Stahlstricknadlen Nr. 6/0”, a fine steel knitting needle 1.75mm in size, for a finished doily 30cm in diameter.

Cast on 6 stitches and repeat the chart six times in a round.

Note: There are two designers listed for Beyer Band 711: Herbert Niebling and Marianne Vitt. Please see this forum post for an explanation of why Marianne Vitt is the presumed designer of this pattern.
