Scintillating Hat
Designed using Berroco’s Flicker yarn and a user-friendly cable stitch, this hat is truly scintillating. The subtle twinkle of the fine metallic filament in this baby alpaca chainette yarn is a dream to knit and is next-to-skin soft. Construction begins with a knitted cable band on a background of reverse stockinette. Ribbing is picked-up and knit from one side of cable band, the crown is picked-up and knit from the other side. The hat can be lengthened by (1) working more rounds of ribbing or (2) by working more rounds of the hat crown before beginning decreases. Strongly recommend using Berroro’s Flicker yarn for this projects as it is a very light, soft, spongy yarn. If substituting yarn, consider using an alpaca or other chainette yarn.
