Baby (child) S, M, L correspond to fit an actual head circumference of 15.75 (20) 22, 23, 24in/40 (51) 56, 58.5, 61cm The suggested ease for this pattern is 5in/13 cm of negative ease. If you are between sizes, I recommend sizing down.

Gauge
3x3 ribbing in the round: 26.5 sts and 37 rows = 4”/10cm, using US 3/3.25mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge, after blocking.

Double knitting in the round: 26.5 sts and 40 rows= 4”/10cm, using US 2/2.75mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge, after blocking.

Construction
The brim is cast on and worked in double knitting. After reaching stated length, the body of the hat is worked in 3x3 rib until the crown decreases. Optional embroidery patches are added to the front of the brim.
