Scoop Neck Spacious Sweater
The Scoop Neck Sweater is a perfect cool and cold weather garment that can be worn alone or for layering. It is a classic design and is beautiful in its simplicity. Dress it up with a string of pearls for a night on the town. Or wear it layered with your favorite long sleeve top and a pair of jeans.
The stockinette and garter stitch design makes it easy for beginners and a great first sweater to knit. With larger size needles, this sweater knits up very quickly.
The comfortable measurements allow for a positive ease of about two inches so when selecting a size, check the blocked finished measurements.
For point of reference, the sample sweater a size small and is shown on a U.S. Size 10 mannequin. This size would be appropriate for Sizes 6 to 10 because the sweater is meant to be spacious.
Sample is knit with Cascade Superwash 128 Italian Plum which is a beautiful buttery soft yarn in a bulky weight. This particular yarn makes an especially soft and luxurious sweater.
