Top-down construction!
I dreamt up this design as my pattern for the Fiddle Knits Sweater Project which took place during the month of February 2010. The progress of the entire design was documented on my blog (FiddleKnits.blogspot.com) and website (www.FiddleKnits.com).
Hint! Watch out for those pesky “AT THE SAME TIME” instructions! Save yourself time and much aggravation by reading through your pattern before you knit. It takes up some extra time, but think about how much time it will save you later if you were to overlook part of the instructions.
When you are knitting the bottom lace rib section, keep in my that this is 1) a lace stitch, 2) very stretchy, and 3) you will be blocking later. These factors mean that you may wish to work your garment an inch or two shorter than your desired post-blocking length. Block your swatch to see how much the lace will grow in your yarn!
