This design may be based on a prickly flower, but the blanket itself is baby soft and cosy.

The thistle pattern is created with various cable and twist stitches on a background of purl stitches. It is worked in one piece, including the seed stitch border around the thistle pattern.

The yarn used is a DK weight merino-mix yarn, designed for delicate baby skin.

The instructions for this baby blanket come in four sizes, Lovey, Stroller, Receiving and Toddler size. The size can be easily adjusted to a full adult size blanket, if required.
