This beret can be made with weight 3 or 4 yarn. The pattern is easily adjustable to suit the yarn weight, as well as fit.

I used Hobbii Tea Time and Tea Time XL for the examples, but you can use just about any yarn you want. Though I recommend using a colour-changing yarn to get a nice effect!

Stitches shouldn’t be tight, so you should go up a hook size if you have a tight tension. The stitch I used for this beret is mainly the granny spike stitch, and is now part of a “Pine” collection I’m creating, based on my Pine Needle Sweater pattern, which I released in July 2024. A beanie version will also be available at the end of November 2024.
