This pattern was designed as part of a set of Christmas Movie Socks that includes three unique sock patterns inspired by knitwear seen in our favourite Christmas movies; textured socks based on Kevin McCallister’s cream guernsey pullover in Home Alone, fair-isle socks with the sweet heart colourwork on Ellen Griswold’s sweater in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and festive reindeer socks inspired by the colourwork sweater Scott Calvin (a.k.a. Santa Claus) is wearing in The Santa Clause 3.

SIZES
Extra-Small (Small, Medium, Large, Extra-Large)/XS (S, M, L, XL) to fit actual foot circumference 6 (7, 8, 9, 10)”/15.2 (17.8, 20.3, 22.9, 25.4) cm, measured around the ball of the foot (the widest part). The length and height are adjustable. If you find that you are in-between sizes, choose the smaller size if you like your socks to fit snug, or the larger size if you prefer a looser fit.

YARN
Fingering-weight sock yarn, recommended in a blend of wool (for warmth) and nylon (for added strength and durability), in the following amounts:
MC (Grey): Approximately 179 (204, 228, 252, 276) yards / 164 (187, 208, 230, 252) meters
CC1 (Red): Approximately 62 (71, 79, 88, 96) yards / 57 (65, 72, 80, 88) meters
CC2 (White): Approximately 21 (24, 26, 29, 32) yards / 19 (22, 24, 27, 29) meters
Samples shown in Cascade Heritage Sock (75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, 437 yards/400 meters, 100 grams/3.53 oz) in the following colours: White, Red, and Frost Grey.
