Scott, my brother-in-law, is a very knit worthy person! From early in my knitting journey, he has loved being the recipient of my handknit socks. I failed to knit him a pair for Christmas this year, and a little bird whispered in my ear, “Scott would love another pair of your socks!” Music to my ears! So… I introduce the Scottie Socks.

The Scottie Socks have directions for knitting from the cuff down or the toe up, with a Wrap and Turn short row heel and a wedge toe, however an alternative heel and toe can be substituted. They are knit using the magic loop method but can be adapted to suit dpns.

The pattern has written instruction and charts for the colourwork.

Size:
S 7”/18cm foot circumference
M 8”/20cm foot circumference
L 9”/23cm foot circumference
Foot and leg measurements can be easily adjusted for other sizes. (Guide Note: the larger stitch count is to accommodate the colourwork. The Medium size equates to how a 64 stitch sock would usually fit.)

Needles:
2.75 mm (US 2) circular needles or dpns
2.25 mm (US 1) circular needles or dpns for heel/toe/cuff (or size needed to get gauge)

Gauge: 36 sts x 44 rows per 4 inches using 2.75 mm (US 2) needle in colourwork.
