These lovely handwarmers are extremely soft and have a beautiful Scottish Rose fair isle detail on the front and back of each handwarmer.

The pattern includes instructions for two sizes with knuckle circumferences of 6.5” (16.5cm) and 8” (20.5cm). The handwarmers are knit in the round with 3mm (2.5US) needles from the bottom up.

The sample is knit with sport weight, Drops Alpaca 4ply (100% alpaca) with two colours: 1 ball of Off White and 1 ball of Red/Purple. One ball is 50 grams / 167 yards (152m). A heavier or lighter weight yarn could be used alternatively to make for a heavier or lighter handwarmers however, the alpaca makes for particularly soft handwarmers.

It is recommended to select two yarns with enough contrast so that the fair isle stands out.
