This pattern was designed for The Scottish Yarn Festival, which is held in Scotland every year and brings together independent yarn dyers, producers of single-origin wool, inspirational tutors, lecturers, designers, and all fibre crafters.
Established in 2016, The Scottish Yarn Festival are Scotland’s largest and longest continuously running contemporary yarn and fibre festival.

The main pattern PDF has one easy-to-read chart (with X’s for DCs) and corresponding written instructions.
Three PDFs are available—one using US terms and one using UK terms, and a full chart that is compatible with Knit Companion.
Main Body of the pattern:
• Colour A – Gordon – 50g (175 metres / 191 yards)
• Colour B – Tait – 40g (140 metres / 153 yards)
2-row double border:
• Colour A – Gordon - 30g (105 metres / 115 yards)
Tools:
• 3mm hook (for the main square)
• 2mm hook (for the double border)
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
Shopping:
You will need to purchase 1 hank of Colour A (Gordon) and 1 hank of Colour B (Tait)

Gauge:
22 stitches and 22 rows for a 10x10cm tension square using a 3mm hook.
Size:
The pattern size (without a double border) will be approx. 32cm wide by 35cm tall (12.5” x 13.5”)
The square is 72 stitches wide by 77 rows tall.
