I wanted to use the lovely stitch-patterns from my Scrapbook cardigans for this lovely baby blanket.
It is such great fun to work different stitches, seeing them work well together, creating something lovely and soft for a new baby:)

Design
This rectangular blanket has a moss-st (seed-st) edge on all sides. The center is worked using 4 different stitch-patterns: the petal border, the Multiflora pattern, the Honeycomb pattern and the Broderie Anglaise.

Construction
The blanket is worked from short side to short side. It is worked flat (back-and-forth) and in one piece.

Materials
Yarn: I used Tosh Merino Light from Madelinetosh to work the blanket. This fingering weight yarn comes in skeins of 420 yards/384 metres. You will need approximately 700/1050/1700 yards of this specific yarn to work the blanket. Yardage might vary from one knitter to another, and from yarn to yarn. Needles: due to the amount of sts it is practical to use a circular needle. Choose needle size to obtain gauge. I used a circular needle 80cm/32”, needle-size 3 mm/US2.5. This is a suggestion only.

Gauge
26 sts and 38 rows in moss-st (seed-st) = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4”

Sizes
There are 3 sizes to choose from. The smallest size would cover the duvet of a stroller, but is not big enough to wrap around the baby. The medium size could be plied double over the duvet of the stroller, and is big enough to wrap the baby. The large size could be used as a large wrap or as a bedspread of a cot. Width: 53/68/83 cm = 21/26.75/32.75” Length: 68/84/102 cm = 26.75/32.5/40”

The pattern gives full instructions for the 3 different sizes.
All patterns are written out row-by-row.
You should be able to work the different stitch-patterns based upon the instructions.
