Here is an owl I made for my mother, that she can fill up with all her yarn ends and her dog’s hair, for the wild birds in the spring.
The big holes in the owl is so the birds can get the small yarn pieces and the hair out, so the can isolate their nests for their upcoming litter :)
I used 3.5 mm hook and some glossy leftover cotton yarn, but you can use any scrap yarn for this.
