Do you have scraps of fingering weight yarn from past projects just laying around your house? Make something beautiful with all those odds and ends -- no scrap is too big or too small!

This cowl can be easily made larger or smaller, and would be fun in scraps, several minis, or even just working a two color version. The possibilities are endless!

The cowl in the picture was designed to be a continuous rainbow, but you could easily make it “scrappier” by incorporating a new color each time you finish a project, or by randomly adding colors. Have fun!

Measurements
Width: 34” (86 cm)
Height: 19” (48 cm)

Yarn:
Approximately 1200 yds (1100 m); 290 g (10 oz) of any fingering weight yarn scraps.

Each color in the sample photographed weighed about 5-10 g (0.17-035 oz) -- some colors weighed more, others less (they are scraps!).
If you don’t want to go the “scrappy” route, you can also select fade sets, a couple mini sets, or even just do a two color version. The options are endless -- just choose colors you like!

Needles:
2 sets of US6 (4.0 mm) circular needles at least 32” (81 cm) in length or size to obtain gauge (the second set will be used for grafting two ends together using a Kitchener stitch)

Notions:
Tapestry needle, waste yarn, crochet hook, kitchen scale (optional)

Gauge:
20 sts / 33 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette after a light blocking
Exact gauge is not critical in this pattern, just create a loose stretchy fabric that you like

Techniques Required:
Provisional cast-on, standard increases/decreases, Kitchener stitch
